"Only my momma loves me, & she could be lying too." Vzo

Hi name is Vzo, i'm a New York City Bassist, born in East New York Brooklyn, & presently living in Jamaica Queens for the past 30 years. I feel very privileged to be living in this beautiful borough in this very transitional point in history/life. As along with many famous sports legends, (Roy Campanella, Jackie Robinson, Joe Louis, & Babe Ruth) This borough has been and continues to be blessed by famous musicians such as,

-Count Basie, Jazz pianist, 1904-1984
-Brook Benton, Singer, 1931-1988
-John Coltrane, Saxophonist, 1926-1967
-Eddie "lockjaw" Davis, Saxophone, 1922-1986
-Mercer Ellington, Trumpet, composer 1916-1996
-Ella Fitzgerald, Singer, 1917-1996
Milt Hinton, Bassist, 1910-2000
(who I had the pleasure to meet)
-Lena Horne, singer 1917-
-James McBride, saxophonist, 1957-
-Fats Waller, piano, composer, 1904-1943
-Clarence Williams, piano, composer, 1898-1965
-Lester young, Saxophonist, 1909-1959
-Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong, Trumpet, 1901-1971
-Cannon Ball Adderley, saxophonist, 1928-1975
-Jimmy Heath, Saxophonist, 1926-
-L.L. Cool J. Rapper, 1968-
-Joseph Simmons, a.k.a. D.J. RUN, 1964-
-Jason William Mizell, a.k.a. Jam Master Jay, 1965-2002

I will never reach the ranks of these legends yet knowing that I walk the same ground makes Queens feel sacred. This website is Basically an Internet "Calling Card" for me, I need to spread the word that Marcus Miller didn't take the Jamaica Funk with him to L.a., it's still here, on Jamaica Ave, By the 165Th street mall, being commanded, by me..

I'm A Bassist till I die, I think/feel this is the ONLY reason my life was created. My musical influences as you can see, range from all spectrum's of music.

From my CD collection alone,in my M's, I start out with The Mahavishnu orchestra, have an M.J.Q. CD and actually have a malovent creation CD as well. IN my B's I end with Black Sabbath but I start out with my favorite singer of all time, Joe Bataan.

I also have some Boston and have been listening to that more as our tragic loss of Brad Delp has made me weaker in life.

But Bass is my choice of drug & weapon, it's my thoughts, it's my prayer.
I always have called myself an "Engineer Of The Sub-Frequencies", and can back that up.
I wish to play Bass, music ET all. I need to find the right click to cohesively interact.
Do You want a Bassist that can
A-fill in the groove?
B-Stay in the pocket?
C-Have a voice of his own?
Then you need me.

With the help of my new webmaster, this will be known. Please feel free to look thru the site as it is being updated, listen to the Howard Stern Link" it was a bitter sweet victory for me. Photos will be coming of me & the only"pussy" I need in NYC, my kitty cat April who loves to lie on her back & give you belly but I kindly call it, "airing out the choach".

Thanks for your time and some one reads this and knows the following people,
-Tony Levin
-Steve Vai
-Carlos Santana
-John McLaughlin
-Al Dimeola

I jam to there music everyday, and if they want quality bass at a great price, well i;m here, funking in Jamaica. Thanks for your time and please remember tha "the bass is is the place."
-Warren Haynes let them know that i jam to their music and will pay to play with the, it's a dream come true and will be worth their while. My fingers promise. With the help of my new webmaster, I will convey all of this to you.
